Ass-Kicking Mix - This one's more harcore, lots of rap and metal. Great for weights, sparring, or conditioning drills.

There's a song I can't get out of my head, "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor. It might be one of the greatest workout songs ever. This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, and a hundred percent reason to remember the name. Those lyrics are like an "on" switch. I play it and I'm kicking ass. It's at the top of my current iPod playlist, a fine soundtrack for doing pull-ups, jumping rope, and punching things.

Go Fast Mix - a high-speed hillbilly mix, best for cardio or driving fast

This one is heavily influenced by songs from the cinematic masterpiece, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. I find that it works equally well for both cardio and speeding to work. I can't believe that I'm sharing it in all of its dorky glory. Who's retarded now?

Splenda Mix - a little of everything

This is what's on my iPod right now. It's scary and funny. I've found that I'm no longer capable of listening to one artist or genre for any length of time. I'm compelled to put RnB, punk, hip-hop, rock, pop, funk, country, electronic, and alternative all in the same mix. Maybe it's adult ADD caused by all the artificial sweeteners I consume. I call this the Splenda Mix.
